About me

About-me-page-pic-logoHi, my Name is Olivier and I bet you would like to know a bit more about me. Let’s face it, why would you trust and read a blog written by some unknown guy? We might never have a real time conversation but, at least, you know I’m real. If you are interested in my story, you can keep reading : )

I am a self-employed, self-educated guy from Canada and I own a few online businesses. The first one I started was an online T-shirt and apparel artist shop. I made a few sales in the very first weeks promoting on social media and by words of mouth. Now, this online business is automated (with the exception of the graphic design part) and still running as I am writing my bio. Unfortunately, this business wasn’t bringing enough into the bank because I was hosting my shop on a third-party platform and they were taking 60% off my revenue so, I decided to try something else.

Something that would bring me more revenue and could still allow me to work from home, or online, and keep my self-employed status. I love it too much! Being your own boss takes a lot of self motivation and strong will but, the fruits of it is so rewarding that it becomes a necessity. I really don’t want to go back working for someone else again. Anyhow, I had heard about online marketing and affiliate marketing/blogging many times before and I was a bit skeptical (actually, very reluctant to say the least), but I had not much to lose by just investigating and taking a few courses here and there to learn on the subject. After a little bit of monetary investment and a lot more time spent at learning, I started to see the whole picture and wasn’t skeptical anymore. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain! So I got right into it and, in no time (close to a month), I was making residual income with my second online business. Now I have three!

The answer to this question is very easy. For the simple fact that someone else helped me and I want to pay it forward because it would be selfish not to. Sounds ”cliché” maybe, but it is nothing but the truth. By helping you in becoming successful and independent financially with a business online, you will be able to create wealth for yourself and help others along the way. Wealthy people are always in a position to grow and help other people grow. Desperate and impoverished people often create more mayhem then good deeds. Not because they’re bad people but, because they are not equipped to give, therefore, they can only take. I want you to understand what I really mean by wealthy. It doesn’t only mean ”rich” by a unilateral definition, It also means plentiful, resourceful and valuable. This is more what I am referring to when I say wealthy!

Lao Tzu once said that : If you give a hungry man a fish, you feed him for a day, but if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.

Again, you probably heard this before and it sounds cliché but, It could not be more truthful. It turns out that I sincerely believe in this quote. Along the way, you will make something good for yourself and hopefully, if your desire tells you to, you can perpetuate the cycle.

The other truth about it is that I am making it a business. As a blogger and affiliate marketer (and I am loving it), I like to think that I am connecting with the world out there and that what I can give, in terms of expertise and knowledge, is worth something. We all have to make a living and I rather help people in the process as opposed to just take from them. I like to think It is the essence of the balance in life, the duality, the YIN YANG. If you think that all of this make sense, you are at the right place then.

Feel free to explore this blog as many times as you want, take what you find useful and discard what isn’t. I do not have the pretension of telling you what to do, nor the audacity to tell you what is best for you, the choice is yours and I sincerely hope you can find the tools that will pave the way to your financial ”enlightenment” and join the program that better suits your needs here at thejoinclub.com.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below, or contact me in private and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,

  1. Hi olivier! that is very wise of you that you develop that work at home strategy and it is needed right now, especially as what we are experiencing as of this very moment many of my countrymen in the Philippine are out of work ,thus no daily wages earned. So if you can offer them ways “how to catch fish” rather than give them ” fish ” as food to consume then I think your strategy is quite sustainable and timely my friend.Yes I understand that working for somebody under a third party to run with your business will not give you much financial freedom due to your small profits. Thus it is very nice that you directly and personally owned your establishment for you to have a bigger share of the profit. May you have more success as you travel along the road of virtual technology and more power ! Thanks and cheers!

  2. I like how you’ve kept it simple, unpretentious and clearly spelt out that it’s not just about getting in quick and dashing out with bundles of money but it’s all about hard work and perseverance. You paint a vivid picture of the connection between desperate people and mayhem. I’d never really looked at the “why” as “they aren’t equipped to give”. Thanks for sharing your journey Olivier.

  3. Hello Olivier, nice to meet you
Good for you that you have a burning desire to be your own boss rather than working for someone else!
It is great that now you have three online businesses and are able to share your experience on these.  The fact you have already had an online shop
Now is the best time to build an online business and you have a lot of experience to share, I look forward to reading more from you.

    1. Thank you John. When subscribing to my feed or newsletter, you can get the latest buzz post on affiliate marketing and online business.

  4. I, too, started my business in the hopes of helping people. In my case, it’s people with ADHD become entrepreneurs. To do so, I have to first educate myself, and then others about this disorder. I feel that it is, also, a karma issue. By helping others, you will get so much in return.

    1. Very honorable from you Jim! Wishing you great success in your journey and feel free to contact me if you have any question or keep sharing your experience in the comment section.
